Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
As a leader on our development team, you will be involved in many of our build projects in which our clients require new or updated functionality for their internet properties, kiosks, or other interactive applications. We work hard to stay on the cutting edge to deliver innovative solutions to our clients, and most of our projects require the team to learn something new or to be stretched in a way they hadn’t been before. As a Senior Application Developer, we will expect you to work with a Project Manager and Technical Director to define project scope, provide estimates, and act as a lead developer. That could mean coordinating a team of two or three to deliver a completely brand-new web application over a couple of months, or modifying a simple service call to the back-end.
Responsibilities will include:
• Coordination of front-end and back-end developers on one or more projects
• Interactive application architecture
• Construction of front-end code and visuals
• Estimation of project tasks
• Delivery of project to specifications
• Being self-directed in finding solutions to problems
• Being proactive in identifying and handling risk
• Occasional meetings with clients
Expertise should include:
• Core understanding of Adobe Flash, ActionScript 2 and 3, and Adobe Flex
• Three to five years of experience developing interactive web applications with client-server architectural considerations
• Back-end serialization technologies with ASP.NET including FluorineFx or XML and Json serialization
• Understanding of appropriate applications of object-oriented programming methodologies
• Knowledge and proper application of Service Oriented Architecture
• Great people and communication skills
Pluses:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in MIS, CIS, Computer Science or related field
• Silverlight or .NET application development experience
• Knowledge of software development tools such as Subversion or Trac
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and knowledge evangelism
