Zero Gravity

ZERO GRAVITY

Microsoft SilverlightZero Gravity
Introducing "Zero Gravity", our new mind-bending adventure featuring the lovable and lost astronaut, Lieutenant Bennett. To build this game, we used Silverlight Technology with the Microsoft Expression suite, along with a few other tools.

"Zero Gravity" was built using the C# language. Considering this is Beta Tech, we relied on a few of our own tricks to make the game exactly how we wanted. To help reduce the size of the xaml files over the wire, we used compression. We also created a pre-loader that would load our assets to provide a better user experience. In addition to our own assets, we used info on the Silverlight forums and the community's code to get a leg up. We will certainly be giving back to the community through articles and code samples.

The result is an addictively fun game that has it all: animation, sound, video, quality gameplay, and over twenty levels of cosmic adventure.

stuffCLOUD
Broadcasting your interests and seeing what others are into is a big part of the Facebook experience. So let’s make it more fun to display. Terralever built an application on the Facebook Platform that allows users to apply a weighted list into their profiles. To expand upon existing profile options, the stuffCLOUD incorporates the brands and products we like in our lives. This visual representation shows trends across a personal network based on these shared interests.

How it works:
The stuffCLOUD application renders its hierarchal cloud and trending stream views via our .NET 2.0 codebase and SQL Server database. For profile views, the returned response is FBML which Facebook renders as XHTML. For the streaming application view, XML is returned from a web service to a Macromedia Flash .swf, which formats and presents the view. Facebook’s Development Platform allows for the relatively easy creation of interesting, value-added personalized views of information amongst a user’s friend base, as well as across the entire Facebook network.

The Photo Flipbook
We built an application on the Facebook Platform that allows users to interact with online photos in a cool new way. Instead of grouping pictures into a single page, the Photo Flipbook takes existing photo albums and displays them as if they are in a book. You can show the photo's caption, change the background, and flip through each interactive album by clicking each page.

How it works:
The Photo Flipbook leverages the Flex Framework and Flash 9 to create a richer multimedia experience. Using the Facebook Platform, Terralevers custom ActionScript API makes applications that integrate with your user's lifestyle. Flash applications also allow more complex user interaction without sacrificing usability. This provides functionality within Facebook's application, and in a secure, user-friendly fashion.

Let’s talk about how we can help you.
