5 SE Valley Companies Vying For Impact Awards

Five more Southeast Valley companies are among 10 finalists for the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce's annual Impact awards.

Four Impact awards will be presented May 31 at the Arizona Biltmore resort for innovations, community involvement, response to adversity and Small Business of the Year.

The five finalists are:
  • bluemedia of Tempe, founded in 2000 by Jared Smith and Lance Davis. The company provides design and printing for use on vehicles (such as car wraps) and other large format and environmental graphics.
  • Terralever of Tempe, founded in 2002. The interactive marketing agency works with clients to achieve goals via technologies such as Web sites, search engines, viral campaigns and e-mail marketing. Owners are Andy Richter and managing partner Chris Johnson.
  • Engenuity Systems of Chandler, a distributor of control and automation products for heating, air-conditioning, lighting, motion sensors and other products. President Tracy Markie, who founded the business in 1994, focuses on networking technology.
  • Reliance Build Inc. of Chandler, founded in 1993, is a general contracting company owned by Steven and Cynthia Stoaks. The company does commercial construction, both ground-up and tenant improvements, specializing in medical and banking work.
  • Eco-Edge of Chandler. Formerly Emissions Products International, the company recently changed its name to reflect its broader mission. The company was founded several years ago by Debra Johnson to distribute a device that saves fuel, reduces emissions and makes a diesel engine run more efficiently.
